My daughter is now 4 years old...

Posted by Esh's Haven at 12:45 AM 0 comments
We have celebrated my daughter's birthday last 3 days ago, the thing that also made me busy these past few days, in preparing for just a simple celebration with my family and closest friends. And it was a lot of fun, and the birthday celebrant really enjoyed what I've prepared for her, which is the most important thing for me.

And now I just realized how time flies, because it's been 4 years since I gave birth to her. Yes, she is now 4 years old, and it makes me think I'm now getting older as well, *Lol*.On a serious note, now that she's again a year older, I have realized a lot of things. I can't let go of the fact that in the years to come, she will be entering into a new chapter in her life, wherein she'll have to deal with the stress and reality of life. As we all know, life can be cruel at times, and that's what scares me the most. Since she's my baby and forever be my baby, I can't let go of the fact that when she reached a certain age, she will be the only one who would make a decision for herself and would really decide on what path she'll take. Wherein I couldn't be always there to protect her 24/7, as much as I want to. That’s not possible since she also has her own life, that for sure, she wants to live it by herself, that I also find very important for her to learn more about life, for her to be more independent and to learn from each mistakes that she'll commit in her life. And with those problems that she's going to face, she'll eventually become a much stronger and better person.

As parents, the thing that we can do is to support our children every step of the way ,and to show our undying love for them that no matter what they do, even if they’ll  mess-up or commit  some major mistakes in their lives, we are still there who would accept them with open arms.

I’m praying so hard that this world would not be too hard on her, that she’ll be a very strong person so that she could face all trials with confidence, and be able to overcome whatever trials that might come along her way.

The effects of television on my daughter..

Posted by Esh's Haven at 1:16 AM 0 comments
I just read an article on the effects of television to your child and it kind of scares me because my daughter is always glued to the boob tube. Every time she watches her favorite program on tv, you can't really disturb her or you can't switch to other channels since once you do that, you'll be having a hard time in stopping her from crying. She doesn't even want to eat her meal once she started to watch her favorite show and that's my main problem. At times, I ran out of strategies just to make her eat her meal when she's in front of tv. And my main concern is if your child is always glued on the boob tube, it can actually affect his/her behavior and that's what I want to really avoid.

We have to really supervise our children in watching tv and make sure that what your child is watching is really a child-friendly shows since I have noticed a lot of cartoons nowadays are not really intended for children below 5 years old.

We have to ensure that all programs that our children are watching don't involve any violence and there's no inappropriate words that our children may imitate. And most importantly, there should be moral values in every shows that he/she is watching.

For my mother, I just missed you so much ...

Looking at the present photos of my mother made me realized how time flies and the thought of she's not getting any younger, brings me to tears, and I just want to say that I really missed her so much.

I know mama, it's very hard for you not witnessing us how we grew up right before your eyes, since you really have to work in a foreign land just to give us a brighter future ahead of us. It's been 13 years since the last I've seen you in person and it's heart-wrenching to realize that you're starting to grow older and yet, you're still away from us, working so hard just to support your family.

Mama, at this very moment I want to thank you and to say sorry as well.

I want to say thank you for all the wonderful things you have done to me. You're such an amazing mom, that's why I'm very thankful that God has given me such a wonderful mom and I couldn't ask for more. Thank you for your undying love and support. Thanks for all the encouraging words you say that really lifted up my spirit every time I feel so disappointed with myself and when I'm about to give-up. Mama, those words you uttered were just enough for me to really keep going and to try my very best to attain my goals in life.

I want to say sorry as well if I'm such a disappointment. Sorry for not being the best daughter, which I honestly believe you truly deserve. Mama, I just hope that anytime soon I could be able to repay you for all the great things you have done, not just for me but for my siblings as well. I will try my very best that in the near future, you will be proud of me.

Mama, once again, thanks a lot and I love you so much..

I missed this blog...

Posted by Esh's Haven at 1:33 AM 0 comments
I haven't updated this blog for a few days now because I'm just too busy with other things and with my other blogs as well. And I must say, I missed this blog, lol...I am busy with my other blogs nowadays and actually, I created a new one, yes! I created another blog again and this time, it is in another platform. I decided to create another blog in another platform because I have read some articles that this particular platform is great if you want to monetize your blog, and as a matter of fact, it is famous among bloggers, most especially the professional ones, so I give it a try.

Actually, I'm still planning to buy a domain name for it next month, since I'm still saving money for it and it costs $17 if I will be using a domain name in that platform. I'm hoping that I'll still receive opps this month, in one of my blogs so that I could already move forward in reaching my goals for this year. Well, just hoping for the best.

Thia Megia made it to the top 24 of American Idol

Posted by Esh's Haven at 4:13 AM 0 comments
I watched American Idol today and so thrilled because the top 24 will be announced today. And  yes, there is another reason for us Filipinos to celebrate since our very own Thia Megia made it to the top 24. After 3 long years since Ramielle Malubay was the last one who made it to top 9 of AI. The whole world will witness again how talented Filipinos are.

Thia is a great singer and to think, she is just 15 years old and already has that amazing voice. I just wished Thia will make it this season and be the very first filipina who wins AI. We Filipinos wished you all the best and we will support you all the way.

The difficult time for me..

Posted by Esh's Haven at 6:25 PM 0 comments
As I am writing this, I couldn't help myself but to cry every time I think about my hard work that doesn't paid-off at all. I start to look for things on how to earn money online last August of last year. Since I am still don't know what were the real ways on how to earn money online back then, I tried PTC sites, which I think a total waste of time if you don't have referrals. I have been clicking sites for almost 2 months wishing that I could really earn money from it and I'm very optimistic then. But after 2 months of clicking ads each single day, I only earned .30 cents, which was not worthy of my time and the energy I've invested there. That's the time I decided to stop it and find more ways wherein I could earn real money from my hard work.

And I found out blogging is the best way to earn money online based on the articles that I've read. So I made a blog last October of last year and after a month I started to monetize it. To date, after 4 months of blogging I earned myself $90 already which is not bad at all for a newbie like me, this was from 3 of my blogs, the other 2 are in their domain names and the other one is a blogspot. So far, I could say blogging has really the potential to earn money on the web but it requires a lot of hard work, patience and determination, plus you have to love it. Yes, I can say I love blogging, this is the thing that I'll keep doing until I grow old. And blogging is something that I enjoyed doing and I'm glad I discovered it.

October of last year as well when I discovered a revenue sharing site wherein you can earn money through Google Adsense. Since I don't have an Adsense account, I applied an account through their site and unfortunately I was rejected by Google Adsense a lot of times. I even applied using other site just to get an account but it was only in Hubpages where I finally got the nod from Google Adsense after I published 7 hubs with 700 words each and that was December 31, 2010. I am just so happy since I knew it is indeed very hard to get your application approved by them and I was once one of those people who tried different ways and working so hard just to have an Adsense account.
After that I immediately linked my account in that site in January. I just started to earn after a few days after I linked my Adsense account. My first earning was a few cents like 0.04 cents and there were days I earned nothing. To date after 2 months of being active on that site, I earned $24. Despite of being active on that site, my earnings dramatically went down. There were days that I could earn almost 2 dollars a day but now I'll be lucky if I can earn 50 cents.I've spent above 10 hours  a day on that site and I believe my earnings should increase overtime. But today I earned nothing. This thing saddened me because I have invested a lot of my time and energy there. What I've earned now doesn't paid-off my sleepless nights just to be on that site.

I envy those folks there who managed to earn a few dollars each day and qualify for the minimum pay-out of less than a month of being active on that site. But in my case now, despite of all the hard work I had given, I think I could be able to reach the minimum pay-out after a year. Right now, I don't know if I still want to continue being a member of that site since I'm just so disappointed and so exhausted with it. Maybe I still need some rest first and I'll go back again. But I don't know if I can still earn money from that site again because my earnings went down dramatically and I don't know if it will increase anytime soon. These were my earnings for the last 5 days, 56 cents, 43 cents, 22 cents, 04 cents and now a whooping 0.00 dollars, to think that I was very active every single day and that's all I got. I'll post here if I still continue or I've stopped being on that site but now, I'm just thinking about concentrating only on my blogs and not on that site anymore.

What path should I take..

The result of the December 2010 Nursing Licensure examination was released this month and I congratulate the newly-registered nurses who passed and it’s great to know that your hard work paid-off. I have a friend who passed and I’m just so happy for her. She truly deserves it since she’s working so hard just to be where she is right now. I’ve witnessed how she worked hard, her sleepless nights really paid off. She is also very excited to find job since being a registered nurse was really her dream ever since and for her to land a job in a hospital as well. I am just so glad she made it along with thousands of passers.

I am also a registered nurse myself and passed the nursing licensure exam almost 3 years ago. At that time, I’m very excited to practice my profession and I was very happy the moment I knew that I did pass. But after 3 long years, things have changed. I went through a lot and I just realized that this profession was not really for me. That’s why now I’m looking for new opportunities and I’m also planning to go back to school or something, but for now I'll still have to think a lot of times if what things to pursue.
